Marie Dance is a Folk/Rock Singer/songwriter from the south coast of England. She has a unique talent for songwriting and connecting with her audience through song. Her innovative creative style has attracted the attention of the American Billboard charts and BBC Introducing. She has gained critical acclaim for her Purple Shoes Album ‘Small Town Fairy tales’ with reviews in Mojo and Fatea magazine and international radio play.

 Marie has been performing at festivals and venues across the UK since 2005, she toured the UK and Ireland in 2017 promoting her first solo album ‘Things have changed’ and she believes that music brings us together and connects people through the soul. 

With her quirky blend of Folk/pop Americana with an English twist Marie sings songs about love, hope and small town fairy tales.

She released and launched her second Purple Shoes album ‘January Sun’ in September 2022 and is now working on new material for her second solo album.

She will also be performing with her band the Purple Shoes at Black Deer festival this Summer 2024
